Overall this was a pretty lackluster game. I came away disappointed with the wide outs and Brett. Will Berrian ever get any separation? I liked how our D responded after the first drive, but they really looked worn out in the 2nd half. Which isn’t that surprising considering the offense had three 3 and outs and one four play drive to start the 2nd half.
The offense was way to predictable. Ever single one of those 3 and outs went the same way: Run, Pass, Pass.
One thing I really didn’t get is why did we take the time out at the 2:05 mark. I feel like that really gives the offense more options and makes your defense have to worry about more than just the run. On offense you could do a max protect pass play or on a running play you can now go all the way to the outside just like the Saints did. If we had just let the clock run down to the 2 minute warning it really limits what the offense should be able to do. Maybe I am just missing something.
