Nate -The McNabb era is over, in the 2000′s McNabb won the division 5 times and went 9-7 in the playoffs, but never won a Super Bowl or or his fans respect.  Enter Kevin Kolb, 26 years old in his fourth season Kolb has only started 2 games in which he became the first player in NFL history to start their career with back to back 300yd passing games.  The Eagles offensive is very young and full of talented high draft picks.  The defense had a good amount of turnover but should be solid again this year.  10-6

Nate -The only team more overhyped this year is the Jets, and that includes the Ravens and Cowboys.  There  turnover margin was 9 higher than any other team,+24 last year, tied for the best in this decade, and one better than the 2000 Ravens.  Why wouldn’t you pick the Packers who went 6-10 in 2008 to 11-5 last year having the most takeways and fewest giveaways, there sure to do it again.  DPOY CB Charles Woodson (age 34) lead a very good secondary that had 30 INTs last year.  This year CB Al Harris is out and is being replaced by an undrafted rookie Sam Shields who converted from reciever.  Another rookie, 3rd round pick Morgan Burnett will start at S along with Nick Collins.  The LB are similar to the DB’s, 2 great players, 2 terrible players.  RILB Nick Barnett and LOLB Clay Mathews are Pro Bowl caliber players but AJ Hawk and Chillar are below average players.  Losing DE Jonny Jolly for the year will hurt big time, Picket and Raji must step up big.  The defense caused 28, 28, and 27 takeaways before causing 40 last year so they can can create turnovers but its a sure bet they wont lead in takeaways or giveaways this year and be right around a +8 TO margin 9-7

Nate -There a long way from the 07 team that scored 37ppg and finished 18-1 losing to the Giants in the Superbowl.  The last 2 years they have scored 26 ppg and are 21-12, 0-1 in the playoffs.  Depsite the downturn they are still a Superbowl contenders, and my pick to win it all this year.  Having to play the AFC and NFC North divisions this year will make it tough to get a first round bye, but at least they get Cleveland and Detroit.  The Jets are overated and the Dolphins are average, the Patriots should win this division easily.  Losing DE Ty Warren for the year to injury will hurt, they will need FA Gerrard Warren and Mike Wright to step up.  S Brandon Merriwether is very good with 9 INTs the last two years but the rest of the secondary is Rookie Devin McCourtey, and 2 2nd year players, CB Darius Butler and S Patrick Chung.  The LBs will have 2 new faces, Jets backup LB Marques Murrell, and Takeo’s younger cousin 2nd round pick Brandon Spikes, who is known for gouging  out a players eye last year and getting busted for getting a BJ on chat roulette, perfect Belichik guy. 12-4

Nate -The difference between the 4-11-1 2008 Bengals and the 10-6 2009 Bengals was an improvement in every facet of the game.  Going into last year I had them as one of the worst secondarys, offensive line and running game.  They excelled in all three areas last year especially there two young cover corners Jonathon Joseph and Leon Hall.  They added Jaguars S Reggie Nelson and S Roy Williams played well in four games before his season was ended, plus they have S Ndukwe who started every game last year.  The offensive improved from 150 passing ypg and 95 rushing ypg, to 180 passing and 128 rushing, they will finish somewhere inbtween this year.  7-9

Clay - If the Texans can keep Schaub healthy they will be fighting for a playoff spot. The defense has been improving but the lost of Dunta Robinson might hurt. The schedule is a tough one which may keep them out of the playoffs. 9-7

Nate -Losing Rookie RB Ben Tate for the year hurt, but if Foster or Slaton can be productive the Texans will have one of the best offensives in the league.  QB Matt Schaub will throw the ball the most again this year and has plenty of targets, WR’s Andre Johnson, Jacoby Jones, Kevin Walter and TE Owen Daniels.  The Defense has 4 stud players, DE Mario Williams, LB’s Brian Cushing and DeMeco Ryans, and S Bernard Pollard.  The defensive did improve from 24.5 ppg and 340 ypg in 07 & 08 to 20.8 ppg and 325 ypg last year.  Missing Cushing for the first 4 games will hurt but they will rebound and just about make the playoffs again. 9-7

Nate -My sleeper pick to win the Super Bowl theres a lot to like about the 2010 Falcons.  There succes will all depend on 3rd QB Matt Ryan and dethroning the Saints to aviod playing 3 straight road playoff games. Very little turnover for a team that has won 20 games in the last two years, with the exception of CB Dunta Robinson who is entering his 7 season and has never played as well as he did his rookie year but still got a 6 year $57 million deal this offseason. The reason I like the Falcons are because they are balanced and well coach, a key to succes in the NFL. 10-6

Nate -Without Big Ben I expect a 1-3 start for the Steelers playing Atl, @Ten, @TB, Bal. The schedule does not get much easier after that having to play 6 playoffs teams along with near playoff teams Carolina and Miami.  The defensive which gave up a league best 13.9 points two years ago in there Super Bowl run before giving up 20.3 last year despite only losing LB Larry Foote on defense.  Well Foote is back but more importantly there 2 best players are back from injury, Polamalu and Aaron Smith, but I dont think the defensive is there concern, last year they gave up 80 points (26.7 ppg) in the final three games and won them all vs Green Bay, Baltimore, and Miami all teams fighting for the playoffs .  But the 5 games before that they only gave up 105 points (21ppg) but lost at Kansas City, Baltimore and Cleveland, and home to Cincinatti and Oakland, Ouch.  I wont count out Mike Tomlin one of the best coaches in the game but the Steelers could finish with any record and not surprise me. 9-7

Nate -The 49ers have not been above .500, made the playoffs or won their division since 2002.  I expect all three streaks to end this year. A combonation of their division being even worse this year (hard to believe) and and very favorable schedule will ensure they reach double digit victories this year.  They play there own division 6 times 4 vs. the AFC West plus a home game vs. Tampa Bay.  I will not be shocked to see the 49ers with a first round bye this year, if Gore and Westbrook can stay healthy.  The Defensive gave up 17.6 ppg last year, 4th best in the NFL and have the best defensive player in the game.  The 49ers have a reciepe to go deep in the playoffs this year. 11-5

Clay – The Titans have our a team that looks like it is slowly deteriorating. They have a strong running game and great coaching. But the defense fell off last year and they did not add a ton on that side. I think Vince Young has peaked in terms of how good he will be. The division has gotten tougher too. 9-7

Nate -10-6 in 2007 and 13-3 in 2008, the Titans failed to win a playoff game in either year, than started 2009 0-6.  Despite losing their first 6 they only lost to San Deigo and Indianapolis the rest of the year finishing 8-8.  Expect them to be above .500 but in the toughest division they may struggle to make the playoffs.  Chris Johnson wont lead the NFL in yards this year but should still provide exciting plays and 2,000 all purpsoe yards. Coach Jeff Fisher is one of the best and I expect to see the Titans back in the playoffs this year.  10-6

Clay – This team is confusing for me especially on defense. Last year they had a big drop off even though not a lot of turnover. The additions they made should make it strong again. The offense is very balance and can win a game either passing or running the ball. The Jets are grabbing all the headlines but I think this is the better team in New York.  10-6

Nate – Replacing veteran LB Antonio Peirce with Keith Bullock and adding S Antrel Rolle should slightly improve a defense that gave up 133 more points last year than the year before.  QB Eli Manning is entering his 7th season improving in all major categories in the last couple years.  He went over 4,000 yards and 25 TDs for the first time in his career, and with his young WR’s (Nicks, Smith, Manningham) he could build one of the better offensives in the league.  The RB situation should settle soon as Bradshaw is a far superior player to Jacobs and the Giants are starting to relize that. 10-6
